Setting a Budget

  • Having a clear focus on how much you want to spend will help you make the right decision as to which Champion Homes design best suits your needs.

✓ Ask about current promotions or offers
✓ Consider the orientation of your home. Having your main living areas including casual outdoor living, facing north will improve your lifestyle as you get more sun year-round.

Step 2: Tender Request

Having decided on the Champion Homes design you like, with the layout and inclusions you want, the Champion Homes staff will prepare the tender request documents for submission to our office.

Step 3: Tender Preparation

Once the tender request documents are received a custom design of the home you like will be prepared, showing the changes you requested. When the design is complete, a tender will be prepared, detailing all the inclusions in your new home.

Step 4: Tender Acceptance

Once the tender documents are complete your Champion Homes Consultant will present the plan of your new home and discuss any further changes you may have in mind.

At the same meeting, the consultant will answer any questions you have about the tender inclusions. The tender acceptance meeting will generally take 2 hours. At the meeting you and the Champion Homes Consultant will sign the tender an you will pay the tender fee.

Tender acceptance is a very important step in the purchase of your new home as it is your last chance to request changes to your plans.

✓ The tender acceptance meeting will generally take 2 hours
✓ Carefully check your tender and plans to satisfy yourself that you do not require any further changes or alterations to your plans

Step 5: Contract, Contour Survey and Final Plan

The signed tender and any request for further changes to the plans are submitted to our office. Work starts on preparing the final set of drawings incorporating any changes requested at tender acceptance. On completion of the drawings, the HIA Building Contract for New Dwellings is prepared for your acceptance and signature.

Step 6: Exterior and Interior Selections

The best part of building is adding your own character and style. This can be daunting. Because of this, we make the process enjoyable and easy with our home design Champion.

We call it the Style Studio. This is where you can make your selections and add your personal touch to your new home.

When your construction drawings and building agreement are finalised the Champion colour consultant will be in contact. They will arrange a meeting at our Style Studio to help you choose the exterior and interior finishes.

Step 3

Step 7: Pre-Construction

Our pre-construction staff will arrange for the preparation of reports noted in your tender. They will also arrange supporting documents that are required to accompany the construction drawings. Once complete this is submitted to council or certifier for approval.

Our pre-construction staff will notify you of the development approval and receipt of the construction certificate from the consent authorities.

Step 4

Step 8: Construction

Once approved, the pre-construction staff will forward the  construction drawings and supporting documentation to the Champion construction team.

The construction of your new home begins. You will be assigned a construction supervisor who will be responsible for your build. You will have the opportunity to meet with him on site at various stages throughout the build.
